Happy Mother's Day Week! Better, ya? Ok. So technically everyday is Mother's Day in my house- "Mom, I need your help!" "Mom, can I please have some juice?" "Momma (crying)" "Mommy (crying)" "Mimi (crying)" I am needed and wanted for the most part (except when they are crying Mimi- cause that is Austy's version of Grammie Girl.
This Mother's Day weekend we spent in Fashion Island doing the March of Dimes- Walk for Babies. It was a 5K walk to raise money to help prevent prematurity- we were fashionably late (30 mins) and strategized by walking the route backwards to "run into" our group! My mom and I and the trips had a blast! Following the walk, there was a little NICU reunion for CHOC and CHOC Mission NICU grads. I cannot tell you how grateful I was to be able to celebrate the lives of my sweet and precious 3 x-preemies. A fellow mommy that I had met prior, was walking with her twin daughter, her twin son died a few hours after birth. I am so blessed.
The next morning, Casey and I took the fam out to breakfast- the local donut shop. We happily munched our way through a dozen donuts with Papa's help. So fun to watch my kids' faces light up over sprinkles :)
